carol harp Carol Robbins
began studying the piano at age 5 and the harp at age 10. She attended UCLA and CSUN where she played harp in the symphony and opera orchestras and recorded an album with the chamber singers. She was featured on an album with the CSUN jazz Ensemble and traveled to San Francisco with the group where they participated in and won a national competition. Ms. Robbins was a student of the great jazz harpist Dorothy Ashby.

Since becoming a professional harpist, she has worked extensively in the television, film and recording industries. She has appeared on such television shows as "The Tonight Show" (with Linda Ronstadt and Nelson Riddle), "The Dennis Miller Show" with Charlie Watts, Living Single, and Frasier. She has recorded extensively with studio orchestras for television shows and many motion pictures including "Poetic Justice", "Police Academy", and "Crosscreek". She played the harp and had a speaking part on NBC's hit television show, "Cheers". She has made records with Linda Ronstadt and Nelson Riddle, Brian Wilson, Manhattan Transfer, Billy Childs, Diane Reeves, Jose Feliciano, Air, The Gap Band, Ray Connif, Liza Minnelli and Johnny Mathis, and was featured on jazz saxophonist Teddy Edward's CD, "Blue Saxophone."

Ms. Robbins released "Three and Four", a jazz quartet CD featuring saxophonist Bob Sheppard in 1995 and "Chords in Blue", a jazz trio CD in April, 2000. Both CD's are being played on radio stations in L.A, and Robbins is a top jazz player in So. Calif.

Her latest CD release, Chords in Blue, was produced by her wonderful husband, Buddy Haligan, and is now available.
