Clarolyn Maier
Clarolyn Maier began her musical journey in Lake Oswego, Oregon where she started singing at age 4 in her father's church. Later she began private study on the piano and the harp under instruction of Portland's harp guru, Marion Fouse of the Portland Symphony. She later attended USC's School of Dramatic Arts and then transferred to UCLA's School of Music to obtain her degree in Harp Performance under the direction of Lou Anne Neill of the LA Philharmonic. She also won first place in the Carol Burnett Musical Theatre Awards and won the Gil Rodin Pop Music Award while attending UCLA.

She has traveled the world extensively as a Harpist/Vocalist and Pianist visiting nearly 60 countries. She has played the harp on the TV Show, "Party of Five" several times and was featured in the Steve Perry Video as a Harpist for the song, "I Stand Alone" which was the theme song for the Warner Brothers movie, "Quest for Camelot." Clarolyn was recently featured as a Vocalist/Harpist on the Fox TV Show, "The Dolphin Run." She sang and played 2000 runners on Zuma Beach and wrote the song, "Shining Still" (Tracy's Song) which was dedicated to a beloved lifeguard that was killed by a drunk driver.

Standard Departures
Her first self produced CD, "Standard Departures" received admirable reviews in LA Jazz Scene and was selected to be featured in the LA City Arts Project Website.

Currently, Clarolyn has signed with LML Music to produce her second CD entitled, "SESSION" a collection of heartfelt jazz and cabaret songs that represent Clarolyn's passionate relationship with this eclectic genre. On the CD, Clarolyn brings the listener into the studio with her so one can actually hear the studio talk between the artists and engineers during the recording process. Each song is an individual expression of true passion.

This album "Sessions" was inspired by the brilliance of the magnificent creativity in which each song was written. Every moment in the production process encompassed a true desire to sing the song with passion and sincerity so that you will hear and feel the intent of the creation. I poured my soul into every verse and chorus hoping that the listener will feel each emotion expressed.
