Sue Ann Pinner,
internationally known Christian recording artist and composer, has released four recordings in the past eight years. Her first recording, Ave Maria, is a bestseller for Ave Maria Press and is hailed by the Santa Barbara Independent Review as a 'fair approximation of heaven.' Her top selling Mariachi is a ground-breaking marriage of sacred and mariachi music and includes her creation of the Mariachi Ave Maria. In the gospel sing-a-long recording Magnificat: The Divine Power of Singing, she recreates the solo she sang for Pope John Paul 11 at the historic Dodger stadium Papal Mass in Los Angeles. She also performed her inspiring Amazing Grace/Ave maria arrangement. Adoremus is Sue Ann's millennium 2000 release. It is a small wonder she has been named "Our Lady's Soprano"; by America's largest Catholic Publication, Catholic Twin Circle (Nov. 7, 1993)

Sue Ann Pinner's musical partnership with the Starlights was, she believes, divinely guided. She saw them at the famous gospel brunch at Los Angeles' acclaimed House of Blues, and was blown away by their powerful and uplifting performance. The Starlights has established itself as a major new force in gospel with more than 100 performances at the House of Blues in L.A., New Orleans and Chicago, an appearance on CNN, and a stunning concert at the Gospel Music Workshop of America. The Starlights has performed at a variety of venues throughout the U.S and are the first gospel group to be featured in LIVE magazine. The joy they spread to their audiences goes also to a variety of charitable causes, including the American Diabetes Ass., for which they are the national spokesmen. Lead singers Rodney Thompkins, Ronnie Dion Palm and their uncle Greg Botts have roots deep in the gospel tradition. Botts' father, the late Henry Botts, sang baritone for decades with the Pilgrim Travelers, a pioneer gospel group.

The recording is a fair approximation of Heaven...."Gloria in excelsis' to Soprano Soloist Sue Ann Pinner." There is something profoundly compelling about the ancient prayer AVE MARIA. Every major composer has set the text of the simple and elegant invocation to music: Mozart, Shubert, Franck, Brahms, Verdi, Rachmaninoff. And of course, Gounod adapted the sacred melody to Bach's First Prelude, probably the most famous rendition. There is something equally compelling about opera star and recording artist; Sue Ann Pinner's musical interpretation of 10 of the AVE MARIAs, as well as variations on sacred texts by Palestrina, Scarlatti, Grieg, and others. From the haunting acapella 13th-century Gregorian Chant that opens this recording to Schubert's beautiful composition that seems to pierce the core of the soul, Pinner sings each piece as if she knew what was in the hearts and minds of each composer.
